I bought norelco one 2 years ago, very expensive it did not shape pretty well, It was very expensive, then I tried a previous model of this braun ones. I work much better now I got the cruzer 3 one, It is works wonderful from the first time, no irritation, shave well. I strongly recommend it. do not waste your money on the very expensive ones as norelco ones that promised improvements that in fact do not work , this one will do the job perfectly

Was using Creamo cream before trying this. I think this is hands down a better shaving cream. It's actually packaged under the CO Bigelow brand by Poraso. Same formula, same quantity. Just a tad cheaper. The stuff is luxurious, and smells great. I like it because it seems to have a more oil in the formulation than Creamo. Will definitely buy again.

This shaver is perfect for me, just what I was looking for! It shaves clean and close, is easy to clean and replacement foils and blades are inexpensive. I haven't washed it, so I don't know how that would work. I'd recommend this shaver to anyone.

This is quite simply the best shaver ever. I've used Braun shavers before, but none of them come close to the shave I get with the Series 5. It is nearly equal to shaving with a blade. Yes, the base is large, and the refills for the cleaning solution are a bit pricey, but it is totally worth it. The cleaning routine keeps the shaver in tip top shape. After shaving for years with a conventional "multi-blade" razor, I was becoming increasingly frustrated. Shaving has always been unpleasant and I avoided it when ever possible. Moving into a new job that required me to stay much more clean shaven meant having to having to suffer through it even more frequently, which was something I was not looking forward to.
Enter the traditional wet shave. Proper technique with a good lather and safety razor has given me consistently smooth, clean shaves (my wife approves greatly of them) without the constant irritation and shaving bumps. The Merkur safety razor is an excellent razor for anyone wanting to get started with more traditional shaving. It has a very solid feel and good weight, and paired with a good razor blade (there are many to choose from, so find one that works for you) results in a very satisfying shaving experience.

I've been using this razor for a couple of weeks now and I really love it. It is simple to begin with, feels great in my large hands, and provides a fantastic, close shave.
I've used the included blades but have also just started trying the Derby Extra and have been a little happier with those so far.
I read of concern with quality of some parker razors, but that seems to have been a thing of the past. If you're new to double edge safety razor wetshaving and are looking for a well built, inexpensive razor to use, look no further.
I recommend this heartily with no reservations.
