It's torture to have to force myself to pay so much for these blades, which results in a lot of price comparing. For some reason Amazon had these Power Blades cheaper than the regular Fusion blades,(they look identical to me), plus they had free shipping and no tax. Much cheaper than any place in town.

I'm glad I went for this one and not the model one below, this one adds the larger slots for longer hair, which is great when reshaping a beard or if I skip a few days of shaving. The cut is close with very little irritation. It is extremely easy to clean, holds a charge for a really long time, and has clear indicators for when it is done charging. Couldn't ask for much more from an affordable and useful razor.

Outstanding Electric Razor, 2010-08-25
I gave up blade razor shaving 10 years ago and have owned several electric razors, including a Norelco some years back. The batteries finally gave out on a Remington I owned most recently and I returned to Norelco after looking at many reviews. The 8240XL I got from Amazon 4 weeks ago is outstanding in every way. It gives close, comfortable shaves, is compact and easy to clean, and has amazing battery life. I have charged it once since purchase and it continues to operate with plenty of power. I am very satisfied and Amazon delivered it without delay in perfect condition.

Use Wet for a Great Shave, 2010-09-02
I've used this shaver every morning since 5/24/10. Used dry it is a disappointment. Used wet it is a whole 'nother story. You can use it with shaving cream, soapy lather, or just hot water. I suggest dousing your face with a washrag and hot water several times to soften the whiskers before shaving. Move the shaver briskly over your face and in 4-5 minutes you should be rewarded with maybe the closest shave you've ever had. The only thing about this Panasonic that I find a little inconvenient is that when the shaver is used wet, it (the foil head especially) will collect gunk and requires cleaning fairly often. This is the tradeoff for the close shave. The Norelcos I used for 30+ years (dry) never gave a shave like the Panasonic but were a snap to clean. I get 8 or 9 shaves from a charge.

Really surprised, 2010-09-02
So for about the past 20 years I've been using an electric razor, different brands but lately its been a braun. When I first started shaving with a regular razor all those years ago I used to get terrible razor burn and my bloody neck looked like I had recently come from a violent crime, so I switched to electric. The shave wasn't as close of course, but it was comfortable with no burn. Fast forward to this past year when braun changed the materials they use in their replacement blades, its like they switched from steel to recycled aluminum and the result is razor burn AND a shave that isn't as close. People on the amazon review of the replacement blades have been referring to it as Razorgeddon. Millions of users left alone in the night, with hairy faces.
So because of this I started checking out 'modern' regular razors and the gillette fusion seemed to do an ok job. the innovation of a vibrating blade I think helps a lot. Of course it sounds a little scary, but it adds something, helping to saw through facial hair. I started using these and the shave was good, but there was still a fair amount of burn. Now comes these new thinner ProGuide blades and combined with the fusion vibration they are AMAZING. For the first time in my life I had a shave with a regular razor with no burn and no cuts, not a single one. Check them out on your next blade rotation. the refill blades DO work on the original fusion handle.

I was looking for a good shaver for my boyfriend. He's an over the road truck driver, so using a razor isn't usually an option. I read the reviews of the Remington MS2-390 shaver and decided to buy it for him.
He LOVES it!! It gives him a really good shave and he said the charge lasts forever! He was out 12 days on his last run and said he didn't have to recharge the whole time. He likes that it can be used corded (in case the battery would run down) or cordless, and that it came with a travel bag. I think it's nice that you can rinse it in water but, again, he usually doesn't have that option.
In closing, he said it was the best gift I could have gotten for him. He had previously used a triple-head shaver and he likes the Remington so much better.
