Strong scent, but temporary, 2010-03-07
I just ordered this product, and I was surprised when I went to my mailbox, and it just reeked of a flowery/sweet scent. It will permeate the bathroom for the first few days, but the smell dissolves. I love the smell of the soap in the shower, though it is strong up front, it does not leave a heavy scent at all, it was very light and almost nonexistant. Every bar soap I have EVER used, dove, neutrogena, lever 2000, etc. has always made my skin ITCH like nothing else, but, this soap does not. I am very happy with it so far.

I bought this soap about 2 month ago from Amazon website. It was then for $6.99. Now I went back to buy again, but price went up. I "google" around and find another website that sells this product for $6.99 and if you by more then 3 there is father discount applied. So for this time I purchased this soap from cleopatraschoice website.
Back to soap. I love it. It has very light sent. One bar lasted for about 4 weeks and I use it also for my body. It also helps to clear your skin on your back as well. Also I noticed that it lightens your skin. If you have any little pigmentation some how it makes it less noticeable. It takes about a week to see results.
I highly recommend this product. By the way this brand (Adovia)is very popular in Europe and cost there much more.

A doctor recommended Cetaphil because of a condition with my oil glands that caused my skin to break out. I found that the Antibacterial Cetaphil works better then the regular Cetaphil for clearing out my skin infections. Resent research shows you have to scrup for at least 10 seconds to clean the bacteria out of the skin. This is also good because it does not dry out your skin like regular antibacterial soaps. It does dry out my feet and I do need to put extra oil on them. It is nice at my age (58) to use a gentle soap that will not damage the skin. I like the way I can rinse until my skin is just where I want it, not to much oil and not to dry. This product is well worth the price and seems to last longer then the cheaper bars of soap.

After reading reviews for this soap and being so frustrated with my skin, I decided to go ahead and try it. I'm glad I did! Although I've only had it since yesterday, I've used it three times and have already noticed a difference. This soap REALLY cleans my skin. It's so soft and smooth! A big plus is that it doesn't seem to dry my skin out like other facial cleansers. Typically when I would wash my face in the morning, it would begin to feel oily and dirty by the early afternoon. This product doesn't do that. In fact, I washed my face around 11 this morning and it still feels great now at 5 PM! It is definately well worth the price.

I really am not a lotion fan in general. I put it on so my skin isn't itchy in the Winter, but promptly wash it off my hands because I can't stand the feeling. This lotion totally surprised me. I put it on and didn't wash it off right away, and 10 minutes later I couldn't feel that texture on my hands. It's a wonderful moisturizing lotion without the sticky feeling on your hands. Plus, it smells AMAZING. This may be my new addiction... :)

Never going back to regular soap, 2010-02-01
Just received this soap and love it already. I used it on my skin and my hair..I really love it on my hair, it feels very clean and has great slippage. It lathers up nicely. It comes in a wrapped block. I just cut pieces as needed and the rest I store in a ziplock bag. Unlike the fake "black" soap they sell at some stores, this raw soap does not leave any black residue. And it's not black, it's brownish. It has a light scent, nothing strong. I lvoe this soap, I will never go back to regular soap.
