A Blessing for Plantar Faciitis Sufferer!, 2010-07-18
I was surprised to see only 2 stars on the Superfeet insoles. Perhaps due to the other folks using them for running?
My experience could not be better. I am a mid-50s, overweight and semi-sedentary woman. When I was diagnosed with plantar faciitis several years ago, my physical therapist sent me to a shoe store to help me be fitted properly for sneakers and other shoes. I was disheartened to arrive and see he sent me to a store specializing in runners' footwear! However, I swallowed my trepidation and went inside. To my pleasant surprise, it turned out about half their customers are runners and half are folks with foot problems.
I was given wonderful care at that store, and one of the most important things they helped me with were the Superfeet insoles. They are all I've worn since, and the difference is night and day. Between the insoles & stretching, my PF is negligible most days.
I highly recommend anyone with PF to try these insoles. They were a godsend for this old gal.

I'm a fan of Neosporin and we use it pretty regularly in my house. But lately I've become concerned about antibiotic resistance, I read recently that even topical creams are adding to this problem. So, I started looking for a nonantibiotic that I could use on minor cuts and scrapes. I picked up a tube of Wound-Be-Gone, figuring I'd give it a try. So far, we've used it on an infected splinter in my son and a strange skin scrape on the bottom of my food. It works great - as well as Neo and without the antibiotic. Both sores healed in just a couple days - we put on a bandage with the gel each night before bed and after showers. I'm planning to try it more extensively, but so far I'm very pleased with the results we've had.

I'm an older person, and my skin is thin, predisposing me to scratches and abrasions. These bandages promote healing like no other I've used. Stay on for a long time through showers and hand washing. They don't just cover wounds; healing occurs with minimal or no scarring. In addition to blisters and fingers and toes, they're a perfect size for small cuts. I only wish Band-Aid would manufacture more different sizes of these hydrocolloid bandages. I'm an R.N., and I know that hydrocolloid bandages have been used for a long time by wound care professionals, so when I saw them on the shelf, I tried them right away. Funny thing--I don't remember seeing any newspaper, magazine, or other print ads for them.

i recently had a very unpleasant jock itch due to the tremendous heat wave this summer. i tried this cream for 3 weeks and it cured it. the instructions said to use it for 2 weeks -which i did. it wasn't quite gone so i used it another week and it was then completely gone. follow instructions as far as application........only use a THIN LAYER of cream - that seems to do a much better job than over-applying it.
