 Outstanding for sleeping, 2010-02-08
My next door neighbors keep odd hours and their dog sometimes gets let out at 2-3 a.m. and it immediately starts barking and howling when it gets outside. I was just about ready to put my house on the market when I found these, I can put these in before sleeping and their dog does not awake me. I have put them in while the dog is howling in the yard next door and as they slowly expand the sound dims and fades away.
They work so well I had to buy a bed-shaker alarm clock since I could no longer hear my alarm go off in the morning, but the uninterrupted sleep is far more valuable to me. I am stocking up on these, they are a lifesaver.

I use these ear plug every day when I swim, and they are water-tight, which is critical, because I use them to avoid getting ear infections and "swimmer's ear." They work like a charm in that respect. And they are also soft and very comfortable. Every few days I need to replace them, though, because with wear they get dirty and less "sticky," and they start to leak slightly. But they work perfectly up to that point. All other non-silicon ear plugs I tried leaked like sieves. Not these. Nothing else compares.

What a help these have been!, 2010-02-03
I had been thinking of having my torn lobe fixed by a plastic surgeon, but the price was over $400 and would not be covered under insurance. Just did not feel like spending the money. When I googled torn earlobes and these came up, I figured, why not? They have really worked well. I find I can actually keep them on for several days because I don't change my earrings every day. Alot better than having expensive repair!

I've tried every ear plug I could find over several years, from foam to silcone to beeswax composite, all ending in disappointment. They either hurt my ears or they didn't hold their seal, allowing sound to penetrate. My last try with Ohropax ear plugs was a charm! I can sleep on my side without ear pain and they block out all the city noises that have been disturbing my sleep for years. I'm soooo thankfull for this product.

Wow, what an otoscope. Prepare to be amazed by how well this otoscope works. We also sell very nice Professional model otoscopes on Amazon and I can tell you that none come close to working as well as this fellow. A "must have" product if you have a baby at home, 2010-02-26
At first my wife was rather skeptical about me using an otoscope. "I'd rather have a professional to do it", she said. But after I found out our baby girl had ear infection twice before she showed any symptom, now she asks me to check our baby's ears if she has a cold for more than a week. My baby does not complain much when she has ear infection, and she had infection many times when she first went to day care. If we didn't have this otoscope at home, we probably wouldn't know it until the infection became very bad!
This otoscope shows the eardrum very clearly, enough for me to determine whether there is an ear infection or not. You will need to practise many times until you know the shape AND color of a healthy eardrum. Try it on adults first. Remember NOT to force it into ears. You don't want to risk damaging the eardrum. Ask your baby's pediatrician if you need help (my baby's pediatrician showed me how to use it once).
It's not always easy to tell whether there is an infection or not. If you are not sure, and your baby is cranky, take him/her to the pediatrician. After all we didn't receive any professional training so don't take the risk.
Note that the view of this otoscope is not as big as a professional one. But a professional one is very expensive. If you want to buy a professional one, but you never use an otoscope before, I suggest you try out this one first.

My wife used to use Q-tips to clean our 2-year-old's ears (she removed some cotton to make the tips smaller). The problem was, that would push some ear wax futher into the ears.
I tried this ear wax remover last night on my girl and I totally love it. It is very bright, and I could see what I was doing clearly. Definitely a 5-star product.

If I could give more than five stars, I would., 2010-01-28
These earplugs are absolutely AMAZING. I am a college senior and I share an apartment with three other people. My house mate that lives on the same side of the apartment as me is always loud and slamming doors shut. I ordered these earplugs based on the high recommendations by others and I'm so glad I did. I put them in and when she slams the doors it just sounds like a minor tap. My only complaint is that I didn't find these sooner. I've tried the blue Hearos earplugs and to me these are much better. The are very easy to insert and very comfortable. Although the NRR on the Hearos is slightly higher (I think its around 33), these seem to block the noise much better. So if you're tired of being sleep deprived or just want some peace and quiet to read or relax, I highly recommend these earplugs.
