Best Nose Hair Trimmer EVER, 2010-03-03
I don't write many reviews, but this one is worth while. I've had a couple different trimmers over the years, but this one certainly wins the award for best EVER. It requires 1 AA battery and amazingly spins at extremely high RPMs. As a result, hair trimming is quick, easy, & painless. It didn't pull the hairs or make my eyes water...I'm impressed. Also, the vacuum feature seems to work as advertised. I had no left over trimmings in my nose to cause itching or sneezing. The only negative I could find is that it will actually trim VERY close and thoroughly, leaving almost a stubble in your nose that can be irritating for a couple days when you rub your nose. Now I just don't trim as thoroughly and I have no issues. Thanks for a great product Panasonic!

The last nose hair trimmer I'll need to buy!, 2010-03-09
What a marvelous idea - non-battery operated nose-hair trimmer, had I known, I would have bought this years ago. This is the 3rd nose-hair trimmer I've purchased, the very first one was a battery operated one that got wet one day and the battery leaked into the device and corroded it. The second one I still have, but I've already replaced one corroded battery and I have to shake it or tap it on the counter to sometimes get the blades to start turning.
So now comes the Groom Mate Platinum XL Nose hair trimmer - a finely built precision instrument, just twist quickly back and forth and it works great. The first time I used it, I was shocked by how much it cut and the included brush was pretty handy, I thought I had Grizzly Adams inside my nose.
The only observations (but this is still a 5 star product) are that the trimmer itself is stainless and has a metallic smell to it and well..you're putting this up in your nose, so you can expect to really smell the metallic smell. Also, the included brush is extremely useful, as I don't like to get this trimmer wet (even though it is stainless steel), but I wish there was an integrated holder to hold the trimmer WITH the brush, as there is only a carrying case for the trimmer itself. Ever so often I have to dig into the drawer to find the little brush.
My search for the ultimate nose hair trimmer is over and it is this non-battery stainless steel one!

I purchased the Braun Series 7 for my boyfriend as a gift and he loves it. He had an old Braun shaver before I purchased this one and it was barely getting the job done and barely stayed charged long enough for one shave. He and I can both tell that the Series 7 gives him a much closer, cleaner, smoother shave. The self cleaning feature is also really nice. His only complaint, if we had to list one, is that he wished the compartment that holds the alcohol for the self cleaning was bigger so that he didn't have to replace it as often. Personally, I like that it's smaller because you're 'forced' to replace the dirty alcohol more frequently. Also, when I purchased it, it was over $200, but I still think it was totally worth it and I know my boyfriend is very happy with it.

Clean your razor once a week. I disagree with the idea the stuff evaporates if you don't use it daily - I put a new cartridge in about every three months. Each Sunday morning I open the razor, brush it with the included brush, put it on the cleaner/charger and enjoy the fresh smell Monday morning. If you brush the stubble out of the razor before cleaning, the fluid lasts a lot longer. Once a week has been fine for me for about seven years. My razor hums, does a good shaving job and I'm happy. I replace the cutting foil and head once a year. One day it'll be over and I'll have to bury it. But I think that's a long time from now.
