Very difficult to find this product in stores anymore. Other sprays are uncomfortable to use but this one, in addition to the nice smell is also a more gentle spray. I promptly sent an email to the seller when I opened the package complaining of receiving the wrong item but almost before I could turn my computer off they sent me a reply explaining the box is different and where to look for the words "eucalyptol and menthol" (under the 4 in small letters). I agree with the other reviews that this is an excellent price with very reasonable shipping. The last time I found this in a store it was $7.99.

I just used up my first bottle, took me about 2-3 months. I only use 1/2 dropper for both nostrils every night at bed time. I use my homeopathic or cortisone spray first then lay on my side and careful add the Ponaris. I gently roll my head from side to side to get it everywhere inside. I think dry sinuses have been the cause to a lot of my headaches too. The smell and taste isn't for everyone but I will do anything to keep my sinuses happy. I purchased it first at a pharmacy but Amazon has an excellent price.

Excellent method for clearing gunk out of your sinuses, 2009-11-20
There's just no way to be dainty about the topic of cleaning out one's nasal passages. When you are suffering, you need to know if something works and I can't think of a delicate way of describing how much I like this product.
I have suffered from pollen, dust and animal dander allergies for years. Since I live on a farm, when I was younger I just got used to the stuffiness and the headaches as a part of life. Then a nurse at my work told me about a system you could order through the mail which consisted of a special spray bottle and packets of a salt mixture which is mixed with warmed distilled water. It's a hassle, but it worked. For several years, I have been mixing up my salt packets with distilled water, nuking it gently in the microwave, and pouring it into a plastic bottle which I would then use to squirt the mixture up my nose. The gunk came out and I was a happy camper. Except for the mess and bother of preparing the mixture beforehand, and washing the reusable bottle afterward.
So when I saw this Afrin product, I jumped on trying it out. I had tried other saline over-the-counter nasal sprays, but the spray was too weak to reach up into my sinuses. So I went back to my old method. But this product does what my old messy mixing and washing method does -- but without the fuss. The spray is stronger, and comes out fast enough to really get up into your sinuses to clean them out. The excess drips back out your nose, and carries gunk with it.
I like this product a lot. It's much more practical for traveling, and it works. If you have never tried just saline and a strong sprayer for your nasal congestion and allergies, I urge you to give it a go. It's better than artificially opening those nasal cavities with a chemical product.

I purchased NasalCrom spray as a alternative to using an Oxymetazoline nasal spray (Afrin). I have night time allergies and congestion -- when I lay down for bed, I need a spray of Afrin in one or both nostrils. I was concerned that my long term use of Afrin could be causing "rebound congestion" because I use it almost everyday. I started using the NasalCrom four times a day (also with Zyrtec) and tried to go to sleep without depending on Afrin.
The first night I was able to make it through the night without Afrin, but did have to use the Naselcrom in both nostrils in the middle of the night. I've been using it for five days now, and it appears to be improving each day. At night, I'm able to sleep, but should note don't expect 100% free nasal congestion. To me it feels 80-90% clear, but that's OK because I can sleep without Afrin! I expect the effectiveness to improve in the next couple weeks as the directions suggest. I will continue to buy this product, but will probably try the generic version (look for: cromolyn sodium nasal solution) next.
