I had originally had the Ancient Secrets plastic travel version and purchased this ceramic one finally. It has the same feel as the travel version. Both fit my nose opening perfectly.
By the way, if this is the first time using this technique, it is going to feel very awkward and even uncomfortable the first week or so. After that, it becomes very easy. Read the instructions carefully!

This nebulizer is so handy and small and best of all very quiet. it comes with a bag and can hold your medication, a rescue inhaler etc. It runs on two AA batteries and I used the lithium ones and have yet to change them out and I have used this at least 50 times. I wish I had bought this one first instead of the large and very noisy big one. Then again if I had I don't think I would appreciate it as much. You could do a treatment in a movie theatre and never bother anyone. Very quiet and discreet and it auto shuts off when the medication is gone. I clean mine when I get home if I have used away from house with just clear water and a can of air. The top slides off for easy cleaning and whether you need it for yourself or your child, it is just a perfect size and comes with extra masks etc. I was at the point this last spring when I needed to do a breathing treatment and did not want to lug my big machine around and then annoy anyone with the noise. Now I can do a treatment anywhere anytime and not disturb anyone around me. The easier it is to use the faster you can manage your asthma. Ask your doctor for an Rx and some insurance companies will pay for it. Mine did. I just had to buy it up front and submit my receipt to be reimbursed. I would have purchased it whether it was reimbursed or not. Gave me the freedom to go and do things that I want to do without worrying about my asthma. A great big tool in a small package.

A Must for Parents with Children who have Nut/Food Allergies, 2010-06-27
Parents are on high alert for food contents in very sensitive children (esp nuts) but even the most cautious mother/grandmother can have a nut sneak up on them. Children with the nut allergy can experience mild rashes to all out respiratory arrest and time is vitally important in many cases. These Fastmelt Strips (there are also Benadryl Quick Dissolve tablets available in certain areas across the country) so they act must more rapidly than the usual Benadryl tablets. Time can be crucial. This is especially true during summer vacations when we visit restaurants and ice cream stands that may unknowingly serve a pre-manufactured dish or dessert that is made in the same facility that also makes nut dishes.
I'm really not trying to scare you, but I think all of us (even adults with shellfish and other food allergies) should be prepared. I am one of the allergic adults (and a nurse)and really don't want to dial 911 or visit the local ER. I keep this easily accessible in my purse.
It is necessary to check with your physician regarding particular dosage requiremnts as they can vary by the child's weight, age and sensitivity to the allergen. This same advice to adults.
