Have been using BE for 6 years and this brush has never been my favorite. It causes my skin to reden and itch. I have used the lightest touch. The hair is natural for some type of fury woodland creature. Within 8 months of using the product I bought one of their sinthetic brushes, the heavenly-that has much smoother application.

This brush is well made, and very soft, but doesn't give very good coverage unless you use a LOT of product. It wastes entirely too much. I can see it going up in the air as soon as I start to put it on my face. I think BE tries to get us to use this brush because we will have to order more of their product a lot sooner. I ended up using the brush on my minerals blush that was attached. I think it was Loreal. It had a brush built into the lid, and that worked a lot better. Better coverage, and wastes a lot less.

Excellent Brush, 2010-02-04
After living with a cheaper Kabuki brush from Rite Aid, this brush is an absolute breath of fresh air. The brush works great with mineral powders and picks up a great amount of the makeup while applying it directly to the face. The bristles are soft and gentle in comparison to my Rite Aid brush that felt like sandpaper.
The design is something you would have to get used to. With its lack of a long handle, I can see how it may be unfriendly to loyal long-handled brush users.
I'm personally using this brush with Bare Minerals and would highly suggest the combination. I can't speak for its versatility with other makeup manufacturers. However, with applying the Bare Minerals Matte Foundation and Hydrating Mineral Veil, it worked perfectly with full, yet natural, coverage.
The brush is everything I expected and I don't mind shelling out the extra money for something that feels so soft as opposed to cheaper nylon knock offs.

I like this brush. It's smooth and the bristles don't poke my face like the flawless face brush. However, since I got it, the bristles have been falling out without rugged use. I'm keeping it because I like it so much, but I'm expecting to replace it sometime.
