This is the first diffuser I have used that actually works; hair had a ton of volume and waves!
A little weird, 2009-02-07
When my hair dryer arrived, you could tell that the original "WARNING: only purchase from an authorized T3 reseller" sticker had been cut and a new sticker was placed over it and covered with clear packing tape. It looks a little sketchy. Also, I didn't realize that the dryer does not come with the diffuser (has to be purchased separately). One of the main reasons I bought a new dryer is that I need a diffuser. I thought and would expect such an expensive hair dryer would come with a diffuser. Now I have to order it and pay for some more shipping! Annoying.

I have a large 'fro and it did nothing for it. My hair shrunk up and was a huge mess. I was better off with out this stupid attachment
Buy this when you buy your T3 Tourmaline Dryer, 2009-08-27
This diffuser is made to fit the T3 Tourmaline Hair Dryer. It fits the dryer perfectly and it diffuses the force of the air from the dryer so that the waves and curls in your hair stay in place and are not "blown out".
Although it is described as being made with Tourmaline crystals, it looks and feels just like a regular diffuser made of plastic. It also acts just like a regular plastic diffuser.
I notice no difference in my hair!
The reputed Tourmaline crystals are supposed to impart a negative ion discharge when the hair dryer is turned on. The negative ions are supposed to prevent frizzing and damage to the hair.
The T3 Tourmaline Hair Dryer is extremely lightweight and balanced. The higher of two heat settings available is too hot to dry one's hair safely. If you use the high setting with the diffuser, the diffuser gets extremely hot and stays hot for some time. I think this is a potentially dangerous situation and the user should be alert to the danger and be careful especially around children and pets.
Some reviewers complain that the diffuser falls off the dryer when the diffuser gets hot. I did not find this to be true although I am careful only use the diffuser on the lower of the two heat settings.
