I bought this because it has natural coconut and no perfume. When I grew up we used Joy dish soap, it was the one that left the least perfumy smell and taste on dishes. I think we may have used some Ajax lemon scented some too.

As soon as Sunlight dish soap came out, that's pretty-much all we used, because it didn't leave any dish soapy smell or taste. I remember that some of the worst offenders were Palmolive, Ajax anti-baterial orange, and Dawn. My friend once made me some Dawn flavored chile. She had used a teflon pan and always used Dawn. Dawn is nasty, it even makes your dishes smell like Dawn. But, I have found most humans can't smell worth a darn, nor taste all that well, so I guess it's fine for them. But, I have keen senses and that's why I use Seventh Generation free and clear.

Aside from getting the dishes clean, the biggest benefit is that you can wash carrots and potatoes, and other vegetables with it (I scrub them with the scratchy side of a Scotch-Brite sponge. It leaves no taste on them whatsoever.

I try to use gloves when I do dishes, but when I forget, I notice this soap leaves my hands soft.

The only downside is yes, it isn't as powerful of grease-cutter as Dawn and others, but it will get it off if you use a little more and scrub a little harder. With most dishes, it does a fine job.

Also, it is more vicous than any dish soap I have ever used, so it takes a more to do dishes and I go through a lot of it. Think of the difference in thickness between non-fat milk and whole milk, and that's similar to what I'm talking about. That's why amazon having it in 6 bottle packs is good. I go through a bottle every 2 to 3 months, so not too bad. I recommend this product.

Some have complained about Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. Here's what the Seventh Generation website says:

Seventh Generation uses SLS in our hand dish liquid, our disinfectants and our laundry liquids. Prior to using the SLS, Seventh Generation used sodium lauryl ether sulfate, or sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), in our liquid laundry and liquid dish detergents. This is a naturally-derived chemical that comes from palm kernel oil and coconut oil. We do have a comprehensive document based on scientific data that we are happy to share with you.

For document, contact Consumer Insights Team at Seventh Generation website.

Truth about SLS and SLES
Published 06/09/2008 11:32 AM | Updated 03/23/2009 12:53 PM
Is it true sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) cause cancer, blindness, or hair loss?Neither sodium laurate (coconut soap), SLS, nor SLES is known to cause cancer, nor are they known to be teratogens or reproductive toxins. Neither do sodium laurate, SLS, or SLES cause blindness. They can be irritants, and the inflammation they may cause almost always clears in a few hours. This is also true of soaps. The booklet "The Truth behind the Ingredient Myths" produced by another natural products company, discusses this in greater detail.

The Danish EPA has produced an excellent document that discusses household product ingredients, and SLS and SLES are discussed in Section 3.1 and 3.2, respectively. The discussion of toxicity and irritancy is quite detailed. The document is also a handy reference about other household chemicals.

I have been buying Seventh Generation products for over 5 years now and when my first child developed a bad diaper rash on her bottom, I switched to Seventh Generation diapers and never turned back. So at that point I started using these wipes and they are great. I like that they are thick and you don't feel like your hands get all dirty when cleaning a messy diaper because you don't feel like anything has soaked thru the wipe. They are soft but durable and absorbant or tough enough to clean a messy bottom without going through more than 3 wipes. I had trouble with the plastic dispenser box since the wipes never would stay coming out or the lid would not always stay closed and the wipes would dry out so I jsut started using the wipes out of the refill bag. The wipes would sometimes start to get mildew inside the packs though when the pack was not finished quickly after being opened. I reported this to Seventh Generation and because it is a naturally product without chlorine this happens but they were super and sent me some replacement coupons.

I love getting these pull-ups with autoship. I also like the quality/absorbancy of the seventh generation brand. Just make sure you go one size up- my daughter is 27 lbs.. and kind of a skinny bean at two, but she wears a 3t-4t in the seventh generation brand. Any other brand she's a normal 2T size but not with these. Even ordering up they are snug and never leak. At least that's been our experience.!

My daughter has very sensitive skin. We've been through lots of diapers creams and skin creams. But we've used Seventh generation wipes from birth and never had a problem. For sensitive skin these are the best and I'd recommend them to anybody. I always include these in my baby shower presents, because they are a must have for any new mom.

We've always used Seventh Generation diapers for nighttime (cloth during the day) but this was the first time I purchased them through Amazon. I am SO pleased with my purchase! I was pleasantly suprised to find zero extra packaging(not something very common mail orders). The box you see in the picture is the box they ship it in, no excess!! The diapers are super compressed in two clear packages, and that is it.
These are great diapers, never had a leak, no strange odor, great fit, and now I know a great place to purchase bulk and cut down on waste! Thanks Seventh Generation and Amazon!

These get the job done just great for me, and with subscribe and save they are significantly cheaper than buying from anywhere else. Also, I love the mission of Seventh Generation and the fact that they create quality products that have less impact on the environment.

As the top reviewer said, be prepared to stash these somewhere, 30 rolls is more than you think. When I lived in an apartment I had to stash them under my bed because I didn't have room anywhere else. That said, it's quite nice to always have paper towels on hand since one box of these things lasts me a year. I think if I didn't have pets they would last even longer.

This toilet paper has everything we are looking for:

    ~ No chlorine bleaching
~ Made from recycled paper, including at least 80% post-consumer
    ~ No colors or scents
~ No plastic in the packaging
    ~ Available in bulk
    ~ Strong and absorbent

It isn't the Charmin I grew up with, but that is actually a *good* thing, as it isn't nearly as linty. One roll lasts a long time as we don't find ourselves using 15 sheets at a time. The paper outer wrapper and cardboard tube are easily placed in our recycling bin, and we fill the big cardboard box with items for donation or use them for the kids to play with.
