I purchased a trial kit and used it for the first 30 days, but Proactiv did not help my acne at all. It actually caused me to get two larger, more severe zits (worse than anything I've ever had before), one of which ended up getting an infection. I ended up having to take oral antibiotics to treat the break out that Proactiv caused.
Stay far away from this product! It is a scam! Even looking at their before and after "pictures" (more like marketing propaganda!), you can clearly tell that they're not even showing the same person in both pictures - for example in one of the before and after sets, the person's eye color changes miraculously from brown to green! Hmm, suspicious...

Using this soap-free cleanser is best because scrubbing with soap can irritate skin, making acne worse. I have mixed feelings about Proactiv, but since they apparently reformulated it with the Micro-Crystals, it has once again cleared my face quickly and gently. Wish it wasn't so expensive though...

I finally went back to using Proactiv - I had switched to using Clinique's 3-step system for oily skin when I ran out of Proactiv toner last time and it caused my face to break out like crazy so I went ahead and ordered more of the Proactiv toner. It's been a few weeks and my face is now back to normal. I find using only the toner works quite well, but I wish the bottler were larger so I wouldn't run out so often.

The Seller's description did not match the product that was shipped to me. The picture and description clearly state Extra Strength Formula and I received the regular formula. I contacted the seller about the mix up and was told to write return to sender on the box but since the box was opened the post office refused the return. Now I'm stuck with the product because of a mishandled return by the seller. I am completely dissatisfied with the seller.

i'm 40 and have had problems with breakouts forever it seems and I must say if you can stick with the Proactiv Solution products - they do work. It took me about 4-6 wks to really see it clear up nicely. i'm a big fan now. you must use it every morning and night or you'll breakout likely.
