Since I had weight loss surgery in February, almost anything I try to eat I barf. I'm living on nuts, salad, and "frozen milkshakes" made of powdered whey, powdered milk, Torani sugar-free Syrup, and occasionally lemon juice and sugar-free Tang. Optimum Nutrition 100% whey protein, in double rich chocolate flavor and vanilla flavor, is the whey I use. Without it I fear I would starve. Fortunately it is delicious.

Sometimes slower is better - especially when it comes to the rate of protein digestion. While rapid protein absorption is desirable immediately before or after exercise, delayed release is probably more beneficial throughout the remainder of the day.
Casein proteins are pH sensitive and gel in the acidic environment of the stomach. This is one of the better tasting Protein shakes I have had, and I am not really into chocolate. I have been mixing with water, normal shaker cup and it really tastes great. I like the ON products, very little extra fillers and added sugars.

These are a really complete vitamin for an athlete. Split the dose into three times daily if you are a bigger guy, like over 200 pounds. Smaller guys can get away with one or two in a day. Dont be surprised when your Pee is Neon colored! The only bad thing I can think of with these is that they smell awful. I mean really bad...I had one in my shirt pocket while at work so I would remember to take it with my lunch and I kept smelling it thinking wow what is that horrible smell? smells like my Vitamins...Duh! They are not the biggest pills ever, so they are pretty easy to swallow. They can leave a pretty nasty taste if you down them with water...maybe a bit of juice would do the trick. Anyway, for the money these are a great vitamin with LOTS of essential things a weightlifter needs to be getting...In my opinion its a way better idea than taking 22 pills a day with Animal Paks. No thank you. Ill eat clean and use Opti-Men. Thanks.

It's the best product you can get if you want a fast absorbing/great tasting protein drink. Mixing this with water produces the best taste for the combo that I've tried thus far. To all the people complaining about the price, if you have a disposable income and want fast results, this is for you, to all the others that complain about the price, go for gold standard, it's cheaper but absorbs slower and is lesser in quality. Overall, outstanding product.

I'm bought this to help me live through the "Insanity" program. Seems to have done its job well.
I like how I can mix this in with a protein shake before workout and not have it change the taste. I previously had a "fruit punch" creatine drink from Walmart and that was a pain - way too sweet and had to drink it separately from my protein shake.
This is also more cost effective because the small-looking bottle has a LOT of servings.

This is the only protein powder (along with the chocolate flavor) that I actually like -- the taste, the quality of the ingredients, and, of course, that it seems to help on muscle mass. I've mixed the powder with just about every fruit, every juice, kefir, soy milk, etc. and it's all good. I'm a moderate exerciser but I drink it also as a quick, light protein source on mornings when I'm running out the door to work in the morning. I'd be lost without it.

I am a vegetarian and have had a testosterone deficiency since childhood. So finding ZMA was like a heaven sent gift for me. It does what it claims for me. Gets my testo levels to the appropriate amount. I do work out a bit and this stuff has been helping me a lot to relaxingly sleep at night (along with melatonin/ tryptophan ) and in the morning i do feel refreshed like new without any fatigue from previous day. But since i am a vegetarian, i sometimes feel like i should take two doses per day on days with work out. Make sure to avoid foods (any food or specifically that has calcium, antioxidants like Vitamin C etc) at least about 1 hour before and after the dosages. Also i found that i can buy this for $25 somewhere else with free ship if i order for about $75 total. .. hehe
EDIT:
Dont use ZMA more than once per day! Take 3 or 4 capsules before bedtime. If you take it during the morning, 1: Zinc dissolves very fast in an empty and acidic stomach and creates more acid thereby causing damage to gastric lining. 2: Magnesium is large doses is a laxative. So only eat ZMA after you have had a few meals of the day.. I also wash the ZMA using an after dose meal of casein drink an hour later.

As for performance I really like Gold Standard Whey, for protein drinks Whey is the Way to go, no pun. Any way whats most important for me is the taste. As far as trying to squeeze out a protein gram here and a fat gram there I dont waste too much time, because all in all there is no replacing food for the optimum protein source. As for taste Choc/Mint taste is by far one of the best out there. I mix it with Skim milk or 1% and I love it, I actually look forward to the drink after a work out, instead of others Ive tried where I have to just hold my nose and gulp...this drink I can actually enjoy. Im not sure how picky people are, I mean its not going to taste like a blizzard from fricken Dairy queen, it is a protein drink after all, but the taste really is a great chocalate (with a hint of mint) drink. Much recommended!
