I got this oximeter to use at work, so I don't have to keep chasing after the one big oximeter that we all in the therapy department have to share and that doesn't work some times. I have a coworker that has the more expensive Nonin oximeter, this one is as accurate and only takes 1-2secs more than its "bigger brother" to read. Now, like with any portable oximeter, you got to make sure that the patients finger is not too cold to get a good reading. I have compared my readings with other oximeters and this one is accurate. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

I had previously thought to purchase an oximeter but the prices were 4 times that of this Nonin. I questioned some of the staff at a local rehab center about this unit and they recommended it as the best. Since I have owned the Nonin Oximeter I am easily able to test my oxygen level and pulse any time i wish. The addition of a clock built into it is also handy. It works well and accurately, if you are in need of an oximeter, I highly recommend this Nonin.

Perfect for home care.Compact enough to carry in a pocket,but a little fragile.If you are a RRT or nurse this would be perfect for a clinic setting or rounds.Cheap enough(not much more than some littmans) that every provider should get one.It would be fine in an EMS setting with a hard case and lanyard.

I have used a Nonin oximteter in my home country India. I am 57years old with blood pressure and doing regular exercise on treadmill, cross trainer etc., this device is very helpful for me to watch my heartbeat and oxygen monitoring. I have studied device like Intervent HRM Heart Rate Monitor, ePulse Strapless Heart Rate Monitor but prefer Nonin GO2 Led Achieve because it is from NONIN leader in the field of medical.

perfect oxsat for use in airplane, 2010-08-21
My wife looked at my original oxsat choice and tossed it out. She is a operating room nurse at one of the biggest hospitals (USA) so I let her pick this one for me. For grins, she even tested it at her hospital - comparing it to their calibrated equiptment. The only suggestion she made is to not move finger at all during the sample period... works great in the airplane - I dial in just the right amount of ox to keep me awake (joke)... suggest you know your baseline on the ground and set ox to to maintain as close as you can.

If you have a Nonin onyx(9500 or 9550) this product is a must have. It adds a little bulk, but the protection is so much better than a soft case.Mine rides in my wife's oxygen bag on her wheelchair and I don't have to worry about the tank breaking the pulse ox ,but it's always right there when I need it.Thanks for a great product!
