In his homeland of Alagaesia, a farm boy happens upon a dragon's egg -- a discovery that leads him on a predestined journey where he realized he's the one person who can defend his home against an evil king.
Great movie, 2010-05-22 I have the movie on HD but I wanted it on Blu-ray, it was well worth the extra dollars as there is some excellent special effects.

FANTASTIC, 2010-07-02 One of the best British mystery shows ever. No blood and guts but a mystery mixed together with humor and characters that are real world people rather than the "pretty boy" images on American tv. The characters are warm, lovable, funny and totally interesting. They are a bunch of retired "old geezers", who were once police officers, and come together with a new department set up to solve cold cases for the police dept. GREAT STUFF!!

LEGENDARY MONSTER HUNTER VAN HELSING IS SUMMONED TO MYSTERIOUS TRANSYLVANIA ON A MISSION THAT WILL THRUST HIM INTO A SWEEPING BATTLE AGAINST THE FORCES OF DARKNESS!
VanHelsing, 2010-06-22 Special effects matching Underworld or Twilight easily. Hugh Jackman(Wolverine on X-Men) and Kate Beckinsale(Death Dealer on Underworld) star in this excellent vampire/werewolf, even vampire vs. werewolf movie. Mr. Hyde and Frankenstein's Monster are on this too. Easily a match for other movies in this genre. Highly recommended!

Val Kilmer sizzles as Simon Templar, Aka the saint, a gentleman thief and master of disguise caught in a deadly web of international intrigue.
It's a keeper, 2010-07-30 What an amazing film. My favorite with Val Kilmer. Val Kilmer takes on so many personas as the film dicatates for in this role and does an amazing job in each one. This film gave me an "aha" moment with what a skill acting is and how in everyday life we all play multiple roles and when good at it with a purpose can create a desired outcome. The movie is light and fun. Just the right amount of action, romance, and humor. A great find for both men and women who usually struggle with the battle over "Terminator" vs. "Pride and Predjudice". Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The second season of the BBC's comic whodunit, New Tricks, arrives on DVD 1/19! They might not look like a team of crack detectives, but once veteran coppers Lane, Standing, Halford, and their bullish boss Pullman get their (false) teeth into their cold cases, things heat up pretty quickly. With old-school detective work and a little state-of-the-art forensics, the veterans unearth a range of baffling crimes including the murder of a lawyer, a racially motivated attack on an Asian bride, and a mysterious unidentified human torso. Will they succeed where others have failed? Or will the burden of all the years begin to weigh down on them? After all, we all have to grow ...
New Tricks dvd, 2010-07-13 Do I love watching Britain's New Tricks...can't get enough. This is a very good DVD.

Prince Colwyn sets off to rescue his bride who is held captive by the Beast, opposed at every turn by slayers and alien beings. Genre: Science Fiction Rating: PG Release Date: 13-SEP-2005 Media Type: DVD
Excellent, for those who can get their hands on the proper version!, 2010-01-15 As long as you receive the right DVD, it's certainly worth the money, and then some. The version with Digital Copy is sorely lacking in special features and anyone who has received that version should seek to get a refund and try buying through the other sellers. I finally managed to get a copy of the Special Edition through one of the other sellers and it's actually worth all the effort I had to put into getting it.

Acclaimed screenwriter Andrew Davies (Pride and Prejudice, Bleak House) brings to DVD an all new Dickens adaptation starring Academy Award Nominee Tom Courtenay (The Golden Compass), Matthew Macfadyen (MI-5, Pride and Prejudice) and newcomer Claire Foy (Being Human). This gripping new series brings to life Dickens's powerful story of struggle and hardship in 1820s London. When Arthur Clennam (Macfadyen) returns to England after many years abroad, his curiosity is piqued by the presence in his mother's house of a young seamstress, Amy Dorrit (Foy). His quest to discover the truth about “Little Dorrit” takes him to the Marshalsea Debtors Prison, where he discovers that ...
Little Dorrit is fantastic!, 2010-07-29 If you are a fan of BBC period flicks, this is one you should add to your collection. Little Dorrit is a lovable character who you root for the entire movie. It is a bit long but well worth the effort. The characters are well-developed and the mystery keeps you guessing.

Sophisticated mysteries, 2010-06-21 New Tricks is a cold-case comedy/police procedural drama: a dramedy, if you will. The actors, the writing, and the directing are just superb - QUALITY. It doesn't take long before you'll be laughing out loud, but viewers still feel the serious nature of the crimes being solved. Each crime is a cold case, and each detective has his own strength and idiosyncracies - so we avoid boredom and predictability. Each crime is solved differently. Each episode is guaranteed to be simultaneously hilarious. I never miss this show on BBC America if I can get it - and I'm ordering Seasons 3-6 from Amazon-UK since the US is taking much too long to release them (I have a region-free DVD player compatible with US televisions). I highly recommend this sophisticated mystery series because of its ability to carry off serious police procedural with quality comedy.

A performance of Les Miserables by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall, for a 10th Anniversary Concert celebration.
Truly A Piece Of Art!, 2010-07-16 I was in London in July 2010 and thought I must go do something a bit more intellectual. I thought that instead of all the waste of time and money on the shopping districts, I should go watch a classic play such as Les Miserables. It was a very wise decision because this play is truly a piece of art.
First of all its a musical play. Not a musical like "Chicago" where the songs can't be heard for long, but something close to the quality of the music of "Moulin Rouge" where you would go buy the soundtrack afterwards. The songs and music were breath taking.
The story is also wonderful and sad too. The American guy sitting next to me was in tears since the play started. There were also moments for me when I was too close to having a few tears, but I am not the kind of guy that cries at movies or plays.
Great Play. Worth every pound paid.
